Misty came to us as a stray, already carrying evidence of a difficult past—a broken jaw, a crooked front leg, and a scar down her back. Yet she loved exploring the outdoors (on a leash). She was also smart enough to know when adventure had gone too far. At the first sign of danger, she'd dash home. She seemed to know that adventure is wonderful—but home is where you run when the world gets scary.
